Good Things

by Everett Christian, McAlester, OK

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. - Psalm 31:24(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." - Matthew 7:7-8(New International Version).

A QUOTE
The sun, down the long mountain valley rolled, A sudden swinging avalanche of gold. - Archibald Lampman -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
A person without principle never draws much interest. - From Don't Wait for Your Ship to Come In. . . Swim Out to Meet It! -
Glass, china, and reputation are easily cracked, and never well mended. - From Proverbs for Daily Living -

NOTES
Today has been a cloudy day turning colder throughout the day. High temperature today was 64 degrees at 5:25 a.m. Low temperature so far today is 42 degrees, the current temperature. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had another wonderful service with a good message by Pastor J T. The second advent candle was lit. I had lunch at home. I took my nap this afternoon with Tony. I put treats out for the cats at 4:15 p.m. At 4:45 p.m. I went to the church for our annual Thanksgiving/Christmas meal. There was lots of good food, fellowship and fun for the entire family. We even had a visit from Mr. Charles Dickens. If you don't know who that is read the story "A Christmas Carol." Since last night's Good Things, I have heard from Debra, Alice, Michele and Geneva. I always appreciate those e-mails.
The cats are fine. Rascal is in the recliner. Most of the others are inside tonight, and most of them are asleep.
I hope everyone has a nice Monday to start the week.
I will see you next time, With Christian Love, Everett.
