1.      Pro-Family Legislation Sees Success in South Dakota

Women will be offered an ultrasound image of their preborn baby before an abortion; sexually oriented businesses will be regulated statewide; and public preschool will not be mandatory. www.citizenlink.com Praise God..

        2.  Gay Activists Line Up Potential Presidential Nominees

The Gay & Lesbian Leadership Institute launched its Presidential      Appointments Project last week to recruit openly lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) professionals to serve the next president of the United States.

“They know that these strategic appointments will advance their pro-gay agenda with little or no interference by elected officials in the legislative branch,” he said. “They're expecting a Democrat to win the presidency. And given the homosexual community's overwhelming financial support of the Democratic Party, they expect payback for their support.”  www.citzenlink.com   Pray for God’s intervention.

3.       Louis Farrakhan heaps praise on Barack Obama

Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakhan says Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world."  According to the Chicago Tribune, Farrakhan spoke about the war in Iraq, the nation's economic problems, and the increase in natural disasters, saying the world was in a perilous state and Obama could help it recover. "This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be a better place," he said.  www.OneNewsNow.com   Pray that our next President is a follower of Jesus Christ.

4.  'Earth worship' on the rise among evangelical youth

Janice Crouse, a senior fellow with Concerned Women for America, says it's disturbing that many young people in evangelical churches are experimenting with the Wiccan religion. Church leaders and Christian parents, she warns, must be ready to counter that growing interest among their youth.

Crouse cites an article in Religion Journal which said youth pastors in the Southern Baptist Convention were worried about large numbers of evangelicals taking part in Wicca, a religion that involves nature worship, stresses moral autonomy, and includes remedies and spells -- beliefs that Crouse points out are distinctly different from orthodox Christianity, not to mention incompatible with the Bible.  www.OneNewsNow  Pray for our youth.

5.      Senate amendment targets federal funding of abortions.

Senator Vitter is hailing passage of an amendment he sponsored to prohibit federal funding of abortions at Indian health services facilities. He says today's vote in the Senate indicates the tide is slowly turning in the battle against abortion on demand. The pro-life measure sponsored by Senator Vitter (R-Louisiana) codifies the Hyde Amendment in the Indian Health Care Act.  Vitter testifies that tens of thousands of pro-lifers who lobbied for positive votes on the amendment "made the difference."   www.OneNewsNow Praise God for He is good.

6.      Oklahoma City workers can celebrate Christmas again.

Christians who work for the local government in Oklahoma City will be able to celebrate Christmas again this year after having been told all religious symbols and observances were off-limits for Christmas 2007.  Thanks to the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF). Thank you Jesus.

7.      Million$ to pro-homosexual groups bad news for Christians, says pro-family activist Peter LaBarbera.  LaBarbera warns that a $65 million endowment given to several groups that promote the homosexual lifestyle will be used in their efforts to "criminalize" Christian opposition to their agenda.

The Pride Foundation of Seattle announced  that Ric Weiland -- one of the first five people to work at software giant Microsoft -- has left $19 million of his estate to the homosexual activist group, and an additional $46 million for the Foundation to distribute to ten other pro-homosexuality groups, including the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Network, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG).

Weiland, who retired in 1988, committed suicide in 2006 at age 53 after a long struggle with depression and homosexuality.

8.      Illinois Judge Blocks Parental-Notification Law

An activist judge in Illinois has ruled that teens can continue to get an abortion without telling their parents. Illinois is one of 35 states with parental-notification laws, but the 1984 law has never been enforced.

“The law is very clear. We had a law that was passed by the state Legislature years ago. And we can’t get it enacted because of the judicial activism. It is a disgrace.” www.IllinoisFamilyInstitute.org  Pray for God to change the heart of this judge.

9.      Deerfield High School Offers Pornographic Literature to Students in English Classes

Deerfield High School is offering the books Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes (Part One & Two) -- laced with graphic sexual content, including gay sex, pervasive expletives, religious denigration and mockery --- in English classes this spring. www.IllinoisFamilyInstitute.org  Pray that Christians take a stand.

10.  Pray for President Bush as he now moves to develop a relationship with

newly elected Russian President Dmitry Medvedev whom he spoke with via telephone on Tuesday morning. Pray for God’s guidance in this relationship that it may lead to greater personal freedoms and liberty in Russia.  www.ThePresidentialPrayerTeam.org

11.   Pray for President Bush as he has expressed complete support for Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and the democracy of Colombia, in the face of conflict with Venezuela. Pray for the success of the free trade agreement which will bring an infusion of economic help to and strengthen our relationship with Colombia. Pray for a calming of the troubles at the border of Colombia. www.ThePresidentialPrayerTeam.org

12.  Friday, April 25, several thousand schools across the nation will be observing "Day of Silence (DOS)." DOS, sponsored by an activist homosexual group, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is a nationwide push to promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools.   www.afa.net   Pray for our children and grandchildren.

PRESIDENTIAL QUOTE

Herbert Hoover

When there is a lack of honor in government, the morals of the whole people are poisoned. There is no such thing as a no-man's land between honesty and dishonesty. Our strength lies in spiritual concepts. It lies in public sensitiveness to evil. Our greatest danger is not from invasion by foreign armies. Our dangers are that we may commit suicide from within by complaisance with evil, or by public tolerance of scandalous behavior.
— President Herbert Hoover
