GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! - James 2:19(New King James Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(The Apostle Paul wrote while in prison) 8 "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." - 2 Timothy 1:8-12(New King James Version).

NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy in McAlester, Oklahoma, with a high temperature of 81 degrees and a low temperature of 60 degrees which is the current temperature. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I came home and prepared some bills and a birthday card for my son Ron and went to the post office and mailed them. I took my nap in the middle of the afternoon. Just as I was getting ready to doze off the doorbell rang. The lady next door and another lady wanted to pick some mulberries from a tree in my yard. I told them that was fine as I don't pick those mulberries. I let the birds have them. I went outside with the cats at 6:00 p.m. and stayed until after 7:00 p.m. It was cloudy and nice and cool with a nice breeze blowing from the north direction. Thanks so much for your e-mails and thanks for reading the Good Things. I heard from Libby today who lives in the state of Washington. She said she really liked the cat story. She is the wife of Jamie MacFarland who attended our church for a few weeks a few years ago while he was on a work detail here cleaning up from an ice storm. Your comments are always welcome either pro or com.
The cats are fine. Rascal just came in from outside. Little Girl must be outside as I don't see her anywhere. Emmy and Leo have been through the den this evening. Tony from across the street has been here. All of the cats have been seen this evening including Lucy, the stray. Little Girl just came in and is now on the sofa. I will see you next time,
