Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him. ” - Psalm 92:12-15(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” - John 8:31-32(New King James Version).

A QUOTE
Faith is simply taking God at His word and acting as if we did. - D. I. Vanderpool -

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
A house is made of walls and beams; A home is built with love and dreams. - From Home is Where the Heart Is -

NOTES
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 84 degrees and a low temperature of 72 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office. I came home and turned on the cooling for the first time this year. I took my nap with Emmy. I was going to take Friendly to the vet for her annual Vaccinations. I got her in the carrier twice but before I could get the opening zipped closed she got out of the carrier and I couldn't catch her any more. I called the vet and canceled the appointment and told them I would come in some other day. My neighbor mowed my back yard this afternoon. I sat outside with the cats from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Good Things may rest again tomorrow night so don't be concerned if you don't receive them. I appreciate your e-mails and I appreciate each one who reads the Good Things. I am going to leave you a true cat story at the end of the Good Things. This story came out in Angels On Earth magazine a couple of years ago.,br /> The cats are fine. None of them are in the den with me at present but I have seen all of them this evening.
I will see you next time,
In Christian Love, Everett.
************************* Here is the cat story:
WHERE TWO ARE GATHERED By Lola Walker Alliance, Nebraska

My Mama Cat is more than beautiful. She has a special talent. Every time I kneel in prayer Mama Cat appears by my side to place a paw on my hands and mew along quietly. Even if I'm in another room silently praying, she somehow knows and comes running. Recently some friends joined me for a prayer meeting. Mama Cat prowled around our feet. She stopped to rub up against each one of us, adding her prayers to ours. How blessed I am never to have to pray alone.
