Good Things
by E. Christian, McAlester, OKSaturday, March 31, 2012
GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - Psalm 3:3(New King James Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. - James 2:8-9(New King James Version).
A QUOTE
To love a child and seek to serve - this is true greatness. - Reuben Welch -
A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
Slow down to the pace of a child today, rather than always making them hurry to catch up with you. - From Home is Where The Heart Is -
NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 86 degrees and a low temperature of 61 degrees. My housecleaning lady came at 11:15 a.m. and cleaned my house while I had lunch with Charley. I took some plastic bottles to the recycle center. I went to the post office for my mail. I had an early nap with Little Girl and Smokey. At around 2:30 p.m. I went to the cemetery. There is a pond at the cemetery with ducks and geese roaming around. I also saw a pair of Canada Geese. One white gander with a wing that has been injured some time in the past came up to me wanting food. He put his bill against my leg but I didn't have any food for him. He followed me to my van and stood by my van as I drove away. I will have to remember to buy some corn to feed them. I then went to the Petsense store to buy canned cat food and then on to Walmart for my weekly supply of dry cat food and other supplies. I filled my van with gasoline at Walmart at $3.53 per gallon. I came home and rested until 5:30 p.m. and then went out and gave the cats their treats and put out food for the other cats or animals that come at night to eat. I sat with the cats and read for about 45 minutes. Since last time I have received e-mails from Geneva and Michelle. I always appreciate your e-mails.
The cats are fine. Little Girl likes my bed so well that she is still there. There is a bowl of dry food on my dresser when the cats get hungry. I just went and told her to come on so I am sure she will be out here in the den in a little while. If not she can sleep with me tonight. Rascal has been going in and out tonight since I have the front door open a little. Itty Bitty just came through a little while ago.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and peaceful Sunday! I will see you next time.
With Christian Love, Everett.
