Good Things
by Everett Christian, McAlester, OKSaturday, February 11, 2012
GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. - 1 John 4:7-12(New King James Version
) GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. - James 5:16(New International Version).
A QUOTE
We were not sent into this world to do anything into which we cannot put out hearts. - John Ruskin -

We are not light in and of ourselves, but in the Lord. - From Reflecting God -
NOTES
Today has been the coldest day of the winter in McAlester, Oklahoma. High temperature today was 30 degrees and the low temperature was 21 degrees. The skies were cloudy until early afternoon and then the clouds moved out. As I write this skies are clear with a temperature of 26 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I was going to go to Walmart later in the day but Charley suggested I go while I was out for lunch and then I wouldn't have to get out in the cold again, so that's what I did. I also went to the Petsense store as well as the post office. I lay down for my nap around 2:00 p.m. I left the heater on here in the den today so Little Girl decided to sleep out here in front of the heater. Rascal took a nap with me today.
I put food and treats outside at 5:00 p.m. Since the last Good Things I have heard from Mary Ellen who lives in Colorado and Jennifer who live here in McAlester. I am going to post Mary Ellen's note at the end of the Good Things. I hope it comes through alright.
The cats are fine, staying inside most of the time during the cold weather. As usual, Little Girl is in the den with me and Rascal was here earlier but has now gone to another part of the house.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.
In Christian Love, Everett.

Thank you Everett for the Good Things that draw us nearer to God.
