Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
23 Love the LORD, all his faithful people! The LORD preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full. 24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. - Psalm 31:23-24(New International Version)

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 2 "My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." - John 14:2-3(New International Version).

A QUOTE
True worship calls for actions done with proper attitudes. - Jim Edlin -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
A grudge is one thing that doesn't get better when it's nursed. - From Reminisce Magazine - We work so hard to keep our outside presentable when the inside is what matters. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES
I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office and then home. I took my nap with Beau snuggled close to my stomach. My house cleaning lady came at 4:00 p.m. and cleaned my house. I sat out with the cats for about 30 to 45 minutes tonight and read. I didn't send Good Things last night. I started them and then had some problems with my computer. It was after 9:00 p.m. so I decided it was too late to start over. I heard from one person who missed the Good Things. Burlene Wilson always waits for the Good Things at night and when they don't go out I usually hear from her. Thank you, Burlene, for being a faithful reader and thanks to all the faithful readers of Good Things. The cats are fine. Rascal was just here by me. After the house cleaning this afternoon, Little Girl was outside. I picked her up and took her to my bed and rested with her for an hour. Little Girl must like my bed with the new mattress because she is still there. Yesterday was a cloudy day with nice rain showers mainly in the morning. I received a little over a sixth of an inch of rain at my house. Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 87 degrees. Low temperature this morning was 60 degrees. At 9:55 p.m. skies are mostly clear with a temperature of 80 degrees. I received a true cat story from Delona Martin. Delona is Flonnie's cousin. Here is her cat story: ******************************************************************************************************

DEAR EVERETT, I HAVE A CAT STORY THAT IS QUITE UNUSUAL ABOUT TOM, A CAT WE ONCE HAD. TOM WAS AN OUTSIDE CAT, ONLY COMING IN OCASSIONALLY FOR MILK OR COMPANY. THEN OFF HE WOULD GO. TOM ALSO HAD AN ATTITUDE AND A MIND OF HIS OWN, ONE MINUTE HE WOULD PLAY WITH YOU , NEXT MINUTE HE WOULD ATTACT WITH CLAWS OUT. HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CAT , BLACK AND WHITE, LONG HAIR, ONE DAY HE LEFT FOR SEVERAL DAYS THEN CAME HOME, THEN HE DISAPPEARED FOR A LONG WHILE, NOT COMING BACK. JACK ( MY HUSBAND) WAS OUT ONE DAY AND WHEN HE CAME HOME HE SAID HE HAD FOUND OLD TOM ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD DEAD, I IMMEDIATELY WANTED TO GO TO HIM, JACK SAID HE WAS ALL DRIED UP AND HAD BEEN DEAD FOR A LONG TIME, SO WE JUST LEFT HIM IN THE PLACE WHERE HE DIED. ABOUT A YEAR LATER JUNE (MY SISTER) AND I HAD GONE SOMEWHERE ONE EVENING AND I WAS TELLING HER THE STORY OF TOM AND THAT HE WAS UNUSUAL BUT WE LOVED HIM AND MISSED HIIM, WAS I IN FOR A SHOCK FOR WHEN WE PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY, WHO WAS LAYING ON MY FRONT PORCH, IT WAS OLD TOM. TALK ABOUT CATS HAVING NINE LIVES, I ALMOST BELIEVE IT. **************************************************************************************************************************************

Have a Wonderful Sunday! I will see you next time.
