Good Things

GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:10(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. - Hebrews 9:27-28(New International Version).

A QUOTE
People stand a better chance of getting out of a bad situation once they determine where they really are. - Jim Edlin -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
A sound argument doesn't require a lot of sound. - From Reminisce Magazine - If you jump to conclusions, you may leap over the facts. - From Reminisce Magazine -

NOTES
On my way to lunch, I stopped by Walgreens to pick up a prescription. I had lunch with Charley. I came by the post office. I took my afternoon nap. Itty Bitty came up on the bed for a minute or two but she didn't take a nap with me. When I got up from my nap I worked in my office for a while getting a couple of bills ready to mail tomorrow. Most of my working life was spent working inside in an office but I am sure getting slow with office work now. I watched a Billy Graham Crusade at 6:00 p.m. The one tonight was from 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota. This program was in black and white. Billy Graham was 43 years of age at that time. I took treats and food out for the cats shortly after 7:00 p.m. I stayed out with them in the cool weather until about 7:30 p.m. The picture tonight is Beau. The cats are fine. Speaking of cats I will tell you a cat story about Little Girl. She is the oldest cat that we have and I am not sure how good her hearing is at this time. Little Girl has always slept here in the den. There are patio doors to look out to the front yard and there is also a back door that I usually leave ajar so the cats came come and go. When Ron comes to visit without Angie, his wife, he wants to sleep out here in the den on the couch. The couch is pretty wide and makes a good bed. He likes to sit outside a lot so the patio door to the den just suits him. I guess Little Girl didn't appreciate all the activities that were going on so Sunday afternoon she had disappeared. My neighbor, two houses over, has a large storage building in his back yard. My cats go down the alley and climb over the fence and sleep under his storage house a lot. I guess it is cool under there. Late Sunday evening I went down the alley looking for Little Girl and sure enough she was at the storage house. I couldn't climb over the chain link fence at my age so I had to leave her there to see if she would come home on her on. Well, she didn't come home Sunday night so Monday evening I went down the alley again and she was still at the storage house. I decided that I had better bring her home so I went to my neighbor's and asked permission to go in their back yard to get Little Girl. Of course it was alright with them so I went back there and coaxed Little Girl out from under the storage house with some food. Ron was in the alley so I picked Little Girl up and gave her to him to take home while I went back out the front way. We put Little Girl in my room with some kitty litter and she slept with Rascal and me Monday night. Ron and Treva went home Tuesday but Little Girl continued to stay in my room and slept with Rascal and me again last night. This morning she came out and I brought her out here to the den where she usually stays. When I came home from lunch she was gone again. I knew where she was but I didn't go looking for her this time. I just prayed and asked God to bring her back home safely. It was rather lonesome here in the den when I started the Good Things without Little Girl. Along about 8:30 p.m. I felt someone rubbing my leg and I assumed it was Rascal. I looked down and it was Little Girl, she had come home by herself this time. She is in the floor at my feet now looking up at me real innocent like. I worry about her because she is getting old and doesn't leave the yard anymore except for last Sunday and today. I hope and pray she stays home now. That is my cat story for tonight. We have had a lot of cloudy skies today but no sign of rain. High temperature today was 80 degrees. Low temperature this morning was 47 degrees. At 9:45 p.m. skies are mostly clear with a temperature of 64 degrees. I will see you next time,

In Christian Love, Everett.
