GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I (wisdom) hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. - Proverbs 8:13(New International Version).

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Proverbs 9:10(New International Version).

A QUOTE
You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. - Zig Ziglar -

THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Commitment is made up of promises kept day by day. - From Reminisce Magazine - How much you know matters less than how much you care. - From Reminisce Magazine - If you don't have a Bible, GET ONE. If you've got a Bible, READ IT. If you read the Bible, BELIEVE IT. If you believe the Bible, LIVE IT. - From Life's Little Handbook Of Wisdom - People with a heart for God have a heart for people. - From Reflecting God -

NOTES
I am running a little late again. I almost decided to miss the Good Things tonight but I thought there might be something included tonight that is just what someone needed. If that is the case with anyone, send me an e-mail and let me know. I attended Worship Service this morning. I had lunch at home. I rested this afternoon. Tonight was fellowship night at the church. Usually I start getting ready at 5:30 p.m. and leave around 5:45 p.m. to get to the church by 6:00 p.m. I was debating with myself whether to go pick up a couple of pizzas to take to the fellowship. I turned on the television just before 5:00 so I could watch 30 minutes of the Lawrence Welk show. Well, the Lawrence Welk Show tonight was country and western tunes and was one of the best of his shows that I have ever seen. It originally was broadcast in 1968. That was 43 years ago and some of you were very young at that time if your were even born. I was 38 years of age at the time and I don't remember watching this program back then. As this big orchestra started playing and singing these country and western songs I just couldn't leave to go to fellowship time. The program lasted for an hour and when it was over it was too late to go to church. I know that some of you folks that read this think this old man is living in the past and has just about lost contact with the present generation. That is partly true and I am ready to go on and leave this current generation when the Lord is ready for me. I tried to remember the tunes that were played and sung tonight and I rembered 15 of the titles but there were two or three more, I think. The titles that I remember are "Anytime", "Don't Fence Me In", "Here Comes Heaven", "If I Could See The World Through The Eyes Of A Child", "I've Got Spurs That Jingle Jangle Jingle", "Just Because", "Make The World Go Away", "Ragtime Cowboy Joe", "San Antonio Rose", "Tennessee Waltz", "The Auctioneer", "The Wayward Wind", "Wabash Cannon Ball", "Walking The Floor Over You" and "You Are My Sunshine." Do you remember any of these songs? The cats are fine. Little Girl is on a tv tray. Rascal was by a little while ago. They are all accounted for. The picture tonight is Rascal. I will see you next time unless you would like to be dropped. In that case send me an e-mail and I will certainly understand.
In Christian Love, Everett.
