George and Mabel

George and Mabel
were gettng ready
for another day
of people watching

The sun was hot
that day as they
were gettng ready
to kick back jack

They didn't really
need their fur
coat, but seeing
as it was attached
there wasn't much
they could do
about it

They were about
to venture on
another journey of
fun and frolic

George eased into
the rubber tire
Mabel was flying
back and forth on
the knotted rope
big grins crossed
their faces as
they saw the humans
begin another day
at the zoo

George said hey
Mabel look at that
one, with the plaid
shorts, stripped
shirt, black socks
and sandals,
almost rolled out
the tire in laughther,
wonder who taught
him to dress himself
surely not Armanti

They passed the
afternoon cribbaging
back and forth seeing
who could pick out the
weirdest sights
ya know Mabel, George
said they're beginning
to all look alike
to me

Both yawning, getting
quite bored they went
off hand in hand to
find some shade
to have their afternoon
delight

After settling in,
getting comfy in their
private secluded spot
George takes Mabel in
in his arms whispers,
in his sexy chimp
voice

Honey pass the
bananas will ya
