I Heard a Song!

 

I heard a song it stayed with me all day long - it is a song of love from my Father above  - it resonates in my soul - it is a song of victory - I know whose I am - before whom I stand - I heard a song loud and clear - a song that tells me I am His and He is mine - He is always near -  a song of His amazing grace - how sweet the sound - that saved a wretch like me - I heard a song of peace - the Lord is my Shepherd who gives me a cool drink of the living water in a place of serenity -  to refresh my soul - I heard a song of His favor - a song that says God has smiled on me - He has set me free - no shackles are holding me - victory is mine today - all because

I heard a song that lingers in my heart!

I heard a song of faith - those who wait on the Lord shall rise up on eagles wings - soaring to higher heights - I heard a song of trust - as I look to the hills - He is my help - my very present help in times of need - in times of trouble - He hears my cry - I heard a song of deliverance - He says to the enemy come this far and no more -my hand is in the Master’s Hand -  I will not fall - He holds me fast - I am anchored in Jesus - I heard a song that says I am His own - I am safe in His arms - He surrounds me with angels - to  protect and serve - I heard a song of praise- praise be to God who always causes me to triumph - He is an awesome God - who can thwart His purpose and plan - heaven and earth will pass away - His word remains - I heard a song - He says come to the mercy seat - where the blood of the Lamb was placed - giving all access to His glorious throne of Grace

I heard His song of His eternal love for all!

About the Poet
I was born in Lexington County, SC. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.I recently moved back home to my home town, Columbia, SC. I have one daughter, Kimberly. I now have two brothers. One went to be with the Lord in January, 2010. My Mom went to be with the Lord, Memorial Day May 28, 2012. Among the things I am grateful for and remembering about her is my salvation. She was a strong passionate woman of God all of her life and a beautiful loving Mother. I was saved and baptized in the ocean in Rota, Spain. What an experience that was! Holy Spirit chased me and drew me to Himself, while I was alone in another country. I surrendered to the Lord, and His peace flooded my soul. It was so beautiful. I am so happy he saved me and redeemed me. I am so happy to share these poems from His heart and mine. Poetry is a release and has inspired and encouraged me and many who have read my poetry. I was blessed to write for a number of years on Crossway Publications and had over 300 poems that I wrote on the site. God has increased my gift with more beautiful poetry. In 2005 my poetic writings seemed to catch the fire of God and have a deeper meaning. I thank God for this chance to share my poetry with all. God Bless...
