Happiness is not a station to arrive at, but a manner of traveling. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Sorrow looks back, worry looks around and faith looks up. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been a hot day with a high temperature of 96 degrees. I attended church this morning. We had the usual good service with choruses, hymns and spiritual songs. The title of Pastor JT's sermon was "Seven Words that COULD Change Your Life." Those seven words are "Not My Will But Yours Be Done." You will find words similar to these in Matthew 26, verse 39. I had lunch a home. I had a nap this afternoon with a few cats (three or four). It is just too hot to go outside with the cats and besides they are staying inside a lot. I have seen all of the cats this evening. I have the garbage to get ready and put on the street and then I can rest the rest of the evening.
Have a nice Monday to start the week.

103 How sweet are your words to my taste (Lord), sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 I gain understanding3 from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. - Psalm 119:103-105(New
International Version). GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 33 But seek first his (God's) kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. - Matthew 6:33 (New International Version).

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement. - From An E-Mail -
NOTES
Today has been a hot day with a high temperature of 97 degrees and of course the heat index was much above 100 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office and then to the Pet Sense store for canned cat food. I took a nap with Lucy. Darren and Kathy came and mowed my lawn this evening. The cats are fine. I just now gave them their treats inside since mowing was going on earlier. I have seen all the cats this evening. Have a good Saturday.

NOTES
Today has been another hot sunny day with a high temperature of 97 degrees with the heat index well above 100 degrees. I had lunch with Charley, went by city hall, then to the post office, then to Walgreen's to pick up a prescription, then to the clinic to leave some papers for my doctor and finally home for a nap with Tony. Itty Bitty was with me for a few minutes before moving on. I put treats out for the cats at 6:30. My niece, Ruby, asked me how I did the Good Things. Well, I have Bibles, books, and magazines real close to me and any thing else that might come my way. I try to not use the same things over that I have used a short time ago. The cats are fine. None are with me at present, but I have seen all of them this evening. Thanks for your notes, prayers and reading the Good Things. Have a nice Wednesday.

GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
(Jesus said) 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30(New International Version).
A QUOTE
I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. The longer I live, the more my mind dwells upon the beauty and the wonder of the world. - John Burroughs -

The age of a person doesn't mean a thing - the best music is played on the oldest violin. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 95 degrees. I had lunch with Charley, then went by the post office, then by Walgreens to leave a prescription and then to the Petsense store for canned cat food. By then I was hot and tired so I took a nap with Smokey and Tony. I sat with the cats for about 10 minutes around 6:00 p.m. Rascal is on a desk near me at present. I have seen all the others this evening. Thanks for everything, notes, prayers and reading the Good Things.
Have a Wonderful Sunday,
Everett.

NOTES
Today has been a hot sunny day with a high temperature of 94 degrees. I went to Walmart around 9:15 a.m. which was better than waiting until in the afternoon. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took my nap with Tony. Smokey was with us for a little while. At around 6:00 p.m. I took treats and fresh water outside for the cats. I take fresh water out every evening. I sat with the cats for around 10 minutes. I guess I will continue with the Good Things while I feel up to it. Excuse any mistakes that I make. Thanks for your notes, prayers and reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Tony is on a desk near me at present and I have seen all of the others this evening.
Have a nice Saturday,
