Good Things
Wednesday, May 7, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. - Romans 8:25-26(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
17 The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. - Zephaniah 3:17(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
With Christ, you will never walk alone. - Bill Crowder -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
God's timetable may move slowly, but it does move surely. - From Our Daily Bread -
Human hands build a house, but human hearts build a home. - From Reminisce Magazine -
May you never have too much of a good thing or too little of what you need. - From I Wish For You -
You always grow to love the people you pray for. That's because you develop God's heart of love for them. Don't pass up the chance to experience that. - From Thank You For Being a Friend -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 84 degrees. Charley had a luncheon at his church today so I went to Braums for lunch. I picked up my mail from the post office. I went to the Petsense store, stopped by the Dollar Tree and then on to Walmart for my weekly supplies. I took a nap late in the afternoon with Beau and Emmy. I put treats and food outside at around 6:00 p.m. Thanks for reading and thanks for the mail. I am still trying to hang in here and do the Good Things but I usually need to rest when I complete them. Resting is about all I do anymore.
The cats are fine. None are with me at present but they have been around and I have seen all of them.
Have a nice Thursday. Everett.

Good Things
Tuesday, May 6, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
18 A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. - Proverbs 15:18(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the spirit of glory and of God rests on you. - 1 Peter 4:14(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
God's powerful word, implanted in our hearts, is a trustworthy source of spiritual wisdom and strength. - David McCasland -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Every cloud doesn't mean a storm. - From Reminisce Magazine -
I hope you never allow the music in your soul to fade into silence. - From I Wish For You -
To enjoy the future, accept God's forgiveness for the past. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 87 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and then to the post office. I took a nap with Emmy. At around 4:30 p.m. I went back to the post office to mail a couple of letters. Then I went by the CVS store for some items. I went by McDonalds and picked up my evening meal and brought home to enjoy. At around 6:20 p.m. I put food outside for the animals. I almost decided to skip the Good Things tonight but then I thought someone might be waiting for them tonight so I took a pain pill for my back (which I do every evening) and did the Good Things. I feel good about it and hope you do also. Thanks for reading and thanks for your mail.
The cats are fine. None are with me at present but I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Wednesday. Everett

Moved To SpeakOracles of God Were moved to speak
Given wise words to say and a humble heart to pray.
They were moved to speak to the burdened and weak
...the many souls that would come their way.
The work of their preach would try to reach
hearts that were led astray...
But only a heart with fertile soft ground
could repent,trust and obey.
1 Peter 4:11:,p> If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Monday, May 5, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? - 1 Peter 3:13(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
1 The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands. - Psalm 19:1(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
Have you put your faith in Jesus? Make sure you have a valid entry into heaven. - Bill Crowder -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
God's timing is always right. - From Our Daily Bread -
He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and he did it! - From Reminisce Magazine -
May you life be measured not by the number of times your heart beats but by the number of moments that capture your heart. - From I Wish For You -
MORE ABOUT CATS:
Cats originated in the Middle East from wild cats that killed rodents and kept them our of farmers' grain stores. It appears that as soon as we welcomed them into our homes, cats quickly began to train humans to their wills. Cats share more than 45 million American homes. Let's face it. Felines view humans as big, clumsy cats and treat us the same way they treat each other. Cats live to be served and adored. - By Kathy Antoniotti, Akron Beacon Journal.
NOTES:
Today has been a sunny day and according to the Internet the high temperature in McAlester, Oklahoma, today was 90 degrees and I won't argue with that because it sure felt warm. One of these days I will have to turn on my cooling. At present I am using fans. I had lunch with Charley. I picked up my mail at the post office. I took a nap this afternoon. Emmy was with me when I went to sleep and when I awakened, Beau had joined us. I put food and treats outside for the animals at around 6:15 p.m. and sat with them for a few minutes. Thanks for reading the Good Things and thanks for your emails.
The cats are fine. Rascal is with me at present asleep on the desk and they have all been around this evening.
Have a nice Tuesday. Everett.
