There's A New Season on the HorizonLike winter some "seasons" in our lives Stay way too long.
Some drag on and just when we think a new season is coming
Like spring, the sun is back but the rains bring a chill.
Are you tired of the season you are in?
Has it been a hard one, a long one?
Have you struggled one day at a time,
An hour at a time, a minute at a time?
Have you felt the chill right down to the bone?
Have you felt the emptiness?
Have you felt the heartache?
Does your soul need warming?
Has your First Love (your relationship with God)
Seemed to have lost the glow it once had?
Well, seasons only last for a designated time so hold on...
There's a new "season" on the horizon!
God will open up a window!
Fresh air will come in.
You will feel refreshed.
The Son will shine in your life once again.
God will restore.
You will have the strength you need.
God's mercies are new every morning.
That long, unwanted winter-like season won't last forever
So hold on.
God is working.
"Seasons have their reasons."
They are needed.
Each and every one has a purpose
But Hallelujah there's a new season on the horizon.
Good Things
Friday, May 9, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
27 The lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being. - Proverbs 20:27(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God; that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of Him. - 1 John 5:14-15(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
May God grant us all grace to keep growing in the wonder of knowing Him. - David McCasland -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
All sunshine, without a little rain, makes a desert. - From Reminisce Magazine -
I hope you can always forget the things that matter least and remember the things that are close to God's heart. - From I Wish For You -
The Bible is the Christian's blueprint for life. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been mostly sunny with a high temperature of 86 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and our brother, Abe, who came in to eat with us. He drove to McAlester from Stuart, a distance of 20 miles. He is only 95 years of age. Bill also ate with us. I went to the post office. I took a nap this afternoon with Emmy and Smokey. At around 6:00 p.m. I went to the funeral home to visit with the family of Shirley Harshaw, who passed away Tuesday. She was 65 years of age. My family has known her since 1963. She attended the same church that I attend but has been in a nursing home for several years. I put food out for the cats at around 6:45 p.m. Thanks for your mail and thanks for reading the Good Things.
The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one in the den with me at present but others have been around. They are all accounted for. I won't do a Cat Definition tonight since I need to get the Good Things on the way for some people who wait for it before they go to bed.
Have a nice Saturday. Everett

LifeLoneliness and its warmth
Embracing me without my wish
People are coming and going
Like rising and setting sun.
But where are you my heart
Searching-Is it a problem of everyone?
And you are selfish to the core.
You,the black monster
And my life is shaken by your stupidity
May be every woman's life is same,
Woman a wonderul creation of god
But unnoticed by the world.
You are killing like a spider
But i have to be confident.
For,my son is there to love me.
And i to love him back.
Because i am created ,
as a mother and a woman.

Thursday, May 8, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
9 Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel. - Proverbs 27:9(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. - Titus 3:4-7(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
I recently saw a T-shirt on a beautiful white-haired woman that said: "I'm not 80. I'm 18 with 62 years experience." - Cindy Hess Kasper -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Being kind is more important than being right. - From Reminisce Magazine - I hope that you truly live life now and not wait until, until, until . . . - From I Wish For You -
We are at our best when we are serving others. - From Our Daily Bread -
NOTES:
Today has been a cloudy day with light rain part of the day. I think we got about 0.22 inches in McAlester. High temperature was 75 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office. I took a nap with Emmy and Friendly joined us later. I put food and treats outside around 6:10 p.m. The other night when I said I almost didn't do the Good Things I have heard from two people that were waiting for them. I know the Good Things are helping some people so I will keep doing them as long as I am able. That might be a good thing to pray for that God will keep Everett well enough to do the Good Things and take care of his cats. I am starting a new thing on the Good Things tonight called "Cat Definitions." I will give definitions to different things pertaining to cats. This will be at the end of the Good Things tonight. Let me know if you like it. If you don't like it you can also let me know.
My cats are fine. None are with me at present but they have been coming and going and I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Friday Everett.
CAT DEFINITIONS.:
Alley Cat.
Alley cat may refer to: Stray cat, a homeless domestic cat; or, less probably: Feral cat, a cat which has been separated from domestication.
