God's Gentle TouchThere is no other love that speaks to us from up above.
His love is free for all of us to see.
His love is not pretentious.
For it given to us free.
May we "rejoice" in his love.
And, always be at peace.
For God has a special feast.
that he wants to share.
To keep us away from satan's snare.
God is always fair.
And, his love never ceases.
So when your life falls to pieces, remember God is always there.
Feel his warmth.
For he is the breeze that blows, the flowers that grow,
the birds that sing...
and he speaks to us from within.

God Alone Saves
Truly God of all the universe can save all men.
Not by the forces of a president, or by the present powers of a government.
Nor can we save ourselves thru our own "good" merits.
For God brought heaven and earth together, and entwined them around a cross.
And brought to them victory, as His Son died for the hopelessly lost.
God alone can save all souls.
By wanting us to confess our sinful state, and proclaiming Him as
Sovereign Lord.
Never be so foolish as to think it is you who has control.
For just as God can bring salvation, He can end your days as well.
Our God is the Almighty, He is the coming Prince of Peace.
It is He alone that can save you.
Thru which we should be humbly thankful for His tender mercy and atoning grace.

Friday, May 16, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. - James 1:22(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
80 May my heart be blameless toward your decrees (O Lord), that I may not be put to shame. - Psalm 119:80(New International Version).

It is not a successful climb unless you enjoy the journey. - Dan Benson -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
A well-chosen word can speak volumes. - From Our Daily Bread -
Enjoy your ride in the elevator of life, it only goes to the top once. - From Reminisce Magazine -
Today is a gift; that's why it's called the present. - From Go For It -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 76 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I went to the post office and then by Walgreen's to pick up a prescription. I took a nap this afternoon with Emmy and Smokey. I put food and treats outside for the animals at 6:00 p.m. and sat out with the cats for a few minutes. I always appreciate your emails. Thanks for reading the Good Things. If anyone is having a problem now in reading the Good Things, let me know and we will do our best to correct it.
The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one with me at present. He is in the recliner chair. I will have to move him if I want to sit there. I have seen all the kitties this evening.
Have a nice Saturday. Everett

Beneath My Wings
Come to me, my dear one,
let me kiss those liquid mirrors,
carry you beneath my wings
and guide you through life
Come to me, my dear one,
let me soothe your aching heart,
absorb life's never ending pain,
and turn it into strength
Come to me, my dear one,
press your face into my down,
feel my pillow's warmth
and let us fly

NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a high temperature of 73 degrees. We had a rain shower this afternoon between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. and then the skies became clear. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I only had time for a short nap since I had an appointment with a dentist at 2:30 p.m. I am needing some dental work done so I will have to go back a few times. I put food out for the cats at around 6:05 p.m. Thanks for your emails and thanks for reading the Good Things. Let me know if you would like to be dropped.
The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one with me and he is in the recliner chair. I have seen all the cats this evening.
