GraceWhat is grace?
It’s saying sorry when you are not to blame
Being sorry for someone’s pain
Praying for someone
When you don’t even know their name
It’s keeping it quiet
When you’ve done something kind
And being willing to change your mind
It’s going that extra mile when it’s not easy to do
Putting someone else’s needs
Ahead of what seems best for you

Good Things
Tuesday, April 29, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
21 Dear Friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God 22 and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him. - 1 John 3:21-22(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
Repentance is a turning around, or a conscious and deliberate turning from sin and setting one's face toward God instead of toward one's self. - Roger J. Green -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
A person lost in his or her work has probably found his or her future. - From Reminisce Magazine -
God will never lead you down a wrong path. - From Our Daily Bread -
May you always find the sparkle that's hidden in the dreariest of days. - From I Wish For You -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with a strong wind from the northwest direction and a high temperature of 66 degrees. I had lunch with Charley. I went to the post office. I took my afternoon nap with Emmy and Smokey. I put food and treats outside for the cats at around 6:00 p.m. It was much too windy to sit our with them this evening. Thanks to everyone who reads the Good Things and thanks for your emails.
The cats are fine. Leo and Rascal are in the den with me at present. I have seen all of them this evening.
Have a nice Wednesday. Everett

Good Things
Monday, April 28, 2014GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD:
15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. - 1 Peter 3:15-16(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD:
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. - 1 John 4:8(New International Version).
A QUOTE:
God's love, grace and mercy are still available if we have the courage to open ourselves to trust and be transformed. - Brent Peterson -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER:
Hatred promotes self-destruction; love fulfills Christ's instructions. - From Our Daily Bread - I wish for you the inner clarity of light that never allows a small worry to cast a big shadow. - From I Wish For You - What you don't know never hurts you; it's what you suspect that causes all the trouble. - From Reminisce Magazine -
NOTES:
Today has been partly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid seventies. We had a rain shower around 6:30 p.m. that was over in a few minutes. I had lunch with Charley, Bill and Mark (Bill's son). I went to the post office for my mail and then to CVS for a couple of items. I took a nap with Emmy. At around 6:00 p.m I put food outside and sat with the cats for a few minutes just before the rain shower came up. I appreciate each one who reads the Good Things and I appreciate the emails.
The cats are fine. Rascal is the only one around at present and he is in the recliner. I have seen all my babies this evening.
Have a nice Tuesday, Everett.

Draw Me into Your HolinessLord Jesus, cover me with Your love.
Come in power, yet gentle as a dove.
Fill me with Your holy Presence.
Your glorious, sacred essence.
Lord Jesus, I adore You.
Fill me up, I implore You.
I just want to adore You!
You are the Lover of my soul.
I will never, ever let You go.
Baptize me fully in Your love.
Pour out Your Spirit from above.
Lord Jesus, I need You so.
I need more of You to know.
I just want more of You to know.
There's nothing else... no one else will do.
Precious Jesus, it's only You! Only You!
Draw me into your holiness.
Have mercy on my lowliness.
I thirst to drink Your water of life.
Purify and sanctify Your holy bride.
You birthed me from Your wounded side.
