Good Things
by Everett Christian, McAlester,GOD SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HIS HOLY WORD
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. - Psalm 145:17(New International Version).
GOD'S PROMISE TO US FROM HIS HOLY WORD
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. - Isaiah 9:2(New International Version).
A QUOTE
As I lie here in bed watching the sun break through my window with its golden spears, I think how strange it is that a whirling ball of fiery gases millions of miles away in cold, empty space could lend so much cheer to my heart. Must be a God thing. - Kevin Miller -
THOUGHTS TO REMEMBER
Faith finds its life by scanning the horizon, knowing there will be a sunrise tomorrow. - From Possibility Thinking - Believe in the power of God to give you a new dream. And bear in mind that if you can dream it, you can do it! - From Possibility Thinking -
FUN THOUGHTS ABOUT CATS
There's no better pillow than a bedroom pillow. Be generous. Most cats are willing to share. - From Cats Rule - Cats and rain don't mix. Get rid of it! - From Cats Rule -
NOTES
Today has been mostly cloudy. The sun came out in time for me to sit with the cats from about 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Today's high temperature was 72 degrees. Low temperature today is the current temperature of 59 degrees. I attended Worship Services this morning. We had a wonderful service with three children, two girls and a boy, being baptized. I had lunch at home. I took my nap this afternoon with Tony. I will tell about Little Girl in another paragraph. I had a call from my son, Ron, this evening in Oklahoma City checking on Little Girl. He and his wife, Angie, have as many cats as I have. Since the last Good Things on Friday night I have heard from Pat Hessdorfer, Michelle, Debra, Mary Jo, Dianne, Quentin, Libby, Geneva, Janice and Alice. Thanks so much for your e-mails and thanks to everyone who reads the Good Things. Thanks to everyone who has prayed for Little Girl and me the past few days.
I had problems with my phone last night and today. I was asleep at 3:30 p.m. today and didn't hear the phone ring but there was a message on the phone at that time from my vet. My phone is back in order now. Some weekday when it rains I will get AT&T out here to check it out.
My vet said that Little Girl was continuing to improve. She got her to eat a little today. She won't get to come home tomorrow but maybe in two or three days. The other cats are fine. I have seen all of them today.
I will see you next time, In Christian Love, Everett.
