Today has been a partly cloudy day with a high temperature of 79 degrees and a low temperature of 61 degrees. I had lunch with Charley, Bill, Steve LeFlore and his wife, Jeanne. I went to the post office and then to Walgreens to pick up a prescription. I took my nap this afternoon with Smokey. I went outside at 5:30 p.m. to put out food and treats. I sat outside with the cats and read for about an hour. While I read I also watch the cats, the birds and the huge vultures soaring high in the sky. Itty Bitty got in my lap for a minute or two while I was sitting outside. Smokey got in a chair beside me. Since the last night's Good Things I have had e-mails from Alice, Michelle, Debra and Geneva. I do appreciate your e-mails.
The cats are fine. Rascal is lying on a desk close by me where I can touch him occasionally. Little Girl is asleep on the sofa. The other cats have all been seen this evening.

I told you the Good Things would be off for two days but they were off three days. I just didn't feel like getting back with them last night. I might have rested another night but thanks to an e-mail from Alice I am back. The way the world and even our own country is treating Christians now the Good Things with the Scripture verses need to go out every day so you can live by them and maybe share them with others. I had a wonderful visit with my daughter, Treva. She arrived at 6:15 on Friday. We visited until about 9:00 p.m. and she went to bed as she had a long day and was tired. Saturday, Treva and I had lunch at Taco Bob's. We then went to Walls store and bought some beautiful flowers and went to the cemetery to replace some of the flowers that were fading at Flonnie's grave. I know Flonnie's Spirit is not at the grave now but I think she looks down and sees us when we go there. Unless the Lord comes first I will be there beside her one of these days. Saturday evening I took Treva to the Rib Crib for her birthday dinner even though her birthday was almost three weeks ago. Sunday it was raining and we had lost an hours sleep due to the silly daylight savings time so I stayed home from church and visited with her since she was going home Sunday afternoon. I heard from her Sunday evening and she and her dog Libby had made it home safe and sound before dark. Now I am by myself again but my wonderful kitty cats keep me good company.
Today has been a sunny day with a high temperature of 77 degrees and a low temperature of 53 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill. I stopped by the post office to pick up my mail and then stopped by Walgreens to leave a prescription. I sat out back for a few minutes with the cats when I got home from lunch. I took my nap without a cat on my bed. At 6:00 p.m. I put food and treats outside and sat with the cats and read for 30 minutes or more. My wifes's cousin (whom I consider my cousin also) sent me a prayer request. Her name is Delona Martin and lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I will leave her request at the end of the Good Things.
The cats are fine. They stay out a lot when Treva's dog is here. Treva's dog is a couch potato and stays in her bedroom except when she needs to go outside to use the bathroom. Rascal is lying on the desk here beside me tonight. Little Girl is asleep on the back of the sofa. The others are around close.

I HAD AN MRI AND THEY FOUND SOMETHING IN MY LEFT BREAST WHERE THE FIRST CANCER WAS FOUND, IT WOULD BE 5 YRS IN 2013 AND I WOULD HAVE BEEN DECLARED CANCER FREE BUT NOW I HAVE THIS NEW THING CROP UP SO IF YOU AND YOUR CHURCH WOULD LIFT ME UP IN PRAYER I WOULDBE SO THANKFUL.

Time to get out of the Middle East by USA troops and weapons is long overdue! The latest incident involving a USA soldier killing Afghan civilians in random shooting underscores the harm being done to our men and women in uniform over there. We've apparently achieved very little with all of our assistance and ground troops. Too many lives have been lost, too much money has been spent for very little, if any, gain. It is time to withdraw our military troops and aid. Humanitarian aid, yes, weapons and military personnel, no! What think you?

There will not be Good Things for the next two nights as my daughter is coming to visit from Kansas. The rains came as predicted. It started raining before daylight and rained until sometime in early afternoon. I think our city received over an inch of rain. High temperature today was 68 degrees which happened before daylight as it has gotten colder throughout the day. The low temperature for today is the current temperature of 40 degrees. I had lunch with Charley and Bill and then to the post office and then home. I took my nap today with Little Girl. I took some food outside at 6:00 p.m. Since the last Good Things I have heard from Michele. If any part of tonight's Good Things have helped you, why don't you let me know if you have time? If you like my notes of my daily activities, why don't you let me know what you did today if you have time? The e-mails I receive are what tells me that the Good Things are being read and they also encourage me to keep on keeping on. If you would like to be dropped from the Good Things, just let me know and I will understand.
The cats are fine. They have been inside and on the back porch today due to the wet weather. Little Girl and Rascal are with me.
