Autumn Feast

 

In the early morning light,

as the sun peaks in.,

I begin to see God's great grandeur.

A feast beholds me,

as the leaves dance in vibrant hues

of gold, red, and earthly tones.

The wind whistles it's own tune,

as the trees dance in delight.

Cranberry harvest time,

pumpkin picking time,

and time to pick apples for homemade apple pie.

Families gather round the table for a thanksgiving

feast.

A beautiful time of year to celebrate a new

season.

As the family holds each other's hands to sit down and

pray...the smell of warm bread bakes in the oven.

The fireplace crackles nearby,

with the smell of fresh wood burning feverishly

to warm our hearts with joy.

A wonderful time of year for our loved ones to be near.

The turkey is roasting,

as grandma prepares the stuffing.

Everything made from the hands of love.

We will build memories here of this wonderful

autumn feast.

A splendid day filled with joy, love and happiness.

Though most importantly filled with God's love.

Hello, My name is Tammy Straube and I am an avid christian poetry writer that has been writing for quite sometime. The poetry that I write is only to 'glorify' God. I write from the heart and I do not necessarily have one particular style in mind. Previously, my poetry was published on www.christianpoetry.org by crossway publications. It is with great sadness that I tell you that they have closed that website down due to the new owner not being able to keep up with the demand of the website. I was fortunate enough to have met some wonderful christian poet's from all around the world there and fortunately enough I am still able to keep in contact with some of them. I also look forward to meeting new christian poet's here and reading their poetry that they write. I hope to be an inspiration to other's as well, with what I write.
